Winter Farmers Market Proposed

A Vancouver group is trying to get city council permission to shut down one block on a street east of Commercial Drive every second Saturday during the winter for a farmers' market.
In a report going to council next Thursday, city staff are recommending the closure because the event would support the city's food action plan and its policy of trying to promote neighbourhood events. The proposed block would be on the Adanac bike route in front of the WISE Hall.
